Smart repairs
Smart repair is the quick option for cosmetic damage. Faster than a full refurb, cheaper than a colour change, ideal for lease returns and pre-sale tidy-ups.
If the wheel is structurally sound and the damage is cosmetic, smart repair gets it back to looking right in under an hour per wheel. We blend the colour locally to the damage instead of refinishing the whole rim. Best for kerb scuffs, small chips and minor lacquer damage.
Smart repair stands for Small to Medium Area Repair Technology. The principle is simple: only refinish the damaged area, blend the colour into the surrounding wheel finish, lacquer over the blend. Done well, it's invisible. Done quickly, it's also cheap.
It's the right answer for one-off kerb scuffs, small chips, lacquer peel patches and lease-return tidy-ups where you don't need a full refurb. It's the wrong answer for corroded sets, multiple damage points across the wheel, or wheels you want a colour change on.
We come to you, work on the wheel with it on the car, and have the job done before lunch. Cheapest entry point on our service list and the right call when the rest of the wheel is in good shape.
What you get
- Under an hour per wheel
- Blended local repair, not full refinish
- Ideal for lease returns
- Cheaper than full refurbishment
How the work runs
- Photo and quote. Send a photo of the damage. We come back with a per-wheel price and a slot.
- Arrive. Van pulls up at your address. No setup needed from you.
- Local prep. Just the damage area is sanded back, masked off, and prepped. The rest of the wheel is untouched.
- Fill and colour. Damage filled if needed, colour-matched to the surrounding wheel and laid in the prep area only.
- Lacquer and blend. Fresh lacquer over the colour, blended out into the surrounding existing finish so the join disappears.
- Cure and go. Cured before we leave. Wheel touch-safe and the car is drivable.

How to book
Phone or message us a few photos: front-on, side, kerb damage close-up, and centre cap if there's a logo. We'll come back with a price and a slot, usually same day.
Smart repairs FAQs.
-
What's the difference between smart repair and full refurb?
Smart repair only fixes the damaged area; a full refurb refinishes the whole wheel. Smart repair is faster and cheaper; full refurb is the right call when the wheel is corroded, multiply damaged, or going through a colour change.
-
Will the repair show?
Done properly, no. The colour and lacquer blend into the existing finish. From a metre away you won't see the join.
-
When is smart repair the wrong answer?
Corroded wheels, multiple damage points across one wheel, peeling lacquer across the face, colour changes - all need a full refurb. We'll tell you which you need.
-
Is it good enough for a lease return?
Yes - it's a big part of what we do. Lease companies look at the visible finish; smart repair makes the visible finish right.
-
How long does it take?
Under an hour per wheel including cure. A single-wheel job is a quick visit; a four-corner tidy-up is a morning.
