Standard alloy repair
The bread and butter: kerbed alloys, scuffed faces, corroded rims and tired-looking wheels brought back to spec at the side of the van.
Most kerb damage is cosmetic, not structural. We sand the damage out, fill, prime, colour-match and lacquer on the spot. Most jobs are done in 1-2 hours per wheel. We come to you - home, work or roadside.
Standard alloy repair is the everyday work: a kerbed front wheel before a lease return, a corroded set on a 10-year-old daily driver, a scuffed face from a tight car park. None of it is structural; all of it makes the car look tired.
We arrive in the van with everything needed to do the job on your driveway, at your work, or at the roadside. Wheels stay on the car for most jobs - we mask, sand back the damage, fill if needed, prime, colour-match the existing finish, and seal under fresh lacquer.
Per-wheel turnaround is 1-2 hours including cure. A full set takes a morning or an afternoon. The car is mobile again the moment we're done.

How the work runs
- Quote. Send a photo by WhatsApp or text. We come back with a per-wheel price and a slot - usually within a day or two.
- Arrive. Van pulls up at your address. Power, water, compressor and booth-grade extraction all on board, no setup needed from you.
- Mask and prep. Wheel masked off the car. Damage sanded back, contamination cleaned off, edges feathered ready for filler or primer.
- Fill and prime. Damage filled where needed, primed across the prep area so the colour lays evenly.
- Colour match. Existing wheel colour matched on the spot. Silver, gunmetal, anthracite, gloss black - matched against the rest of the wheel.
- Lacquer and cure. Fresh lacquer over the colour, cured before we leave so the wheel is touch-safe and the car is drivable.
Pricing
Quoted per wheel after a photo. Wheel size, damage severity, colour and finish all factor in. Free quote on every job.

Standard alloy repair FAQs.
-
Do I need to take the wheels off?
No. We mask off the car and work with the wheels on. You don't need a jack, ramps, or to take time off work for a workshop drop-off.
-
How long does a kerb repair take?
Per wheel, 1-2 hours including cure. A full set is a morning or an afternoon. We tell you up front so you can plan around it.
-
Will the repair be invisible?
On a colour-matched single-wheel repair, you won't see the join from a metre away. Bigger refurbs come back better than that. We don't sign off until you're happy.
-
Will it last?
Yes. Modern lacquer over a properly prepped repair holds up to year-round Fife driving. Avoid harsh wheel cleaners for the first week of cure and the finish stays sharp.
-
Where do you cover?
Glenrothes is the home base, with regular runs to Kirkcaldy, Dunfermline, Cupar, Leven, St Andrews, Markinch, Leslie and surrounding Fife. Outside that, ask - if it's a full set we usually travel.
-
Can you do this for a lease return?
Yes - lease-return tidy-ups are a big part of the work. We can quote against your inspection report so you know exactly what's covered before the lease company looks at the car.
